#KeralaFloodRelief
DMK president M.K. Stalin announced that all elected Members of the Legislative Assembly and Members of the Rajya Sabha belonging to the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam would donate one full month of their salaries toward Kerala flood relief and rehabilitation efforts. Stalin noted that catastrophic deluge and widespread landslides had severely devastated Kerala, leaving hundreds dead, lakhs of citizens homeless in relief shelters, and basic livelihoods completely shattered across multiple river basins.
Stalin emphasized that Tamil Nadu and Kerala share deep-rooted historical bonds, cultural fraternal ties, and geographic interdependence that make mutual solidarity an imperative humanitarian obligation. In moments of severe natural tragedy, standing shoulder to shoulder with affected brothers and sisters is an indispensable duty of democratic public leadership.
Stalin stated that the financial contribution from DMK lawmakers was an integral part of the party's comprehensive disaster response initiative, which had already dispatched consignments of essential food grains, clothing, clean drinking water, and emergency medical kits to relief distribution hubs. He called upon civil society organizations and citizens across Tamil Nadu to contribute generously to assist the resilient people of Kerala in rebuilding their homes and futures.
