DMK leader M.K. Stalin demonstrated exceptional personal leadership and accountability by directly visiting a restaurant in Virugambakkam, Chennai, where local staff and the shop owner had been assaulted by unruly individuals associated with the party. Meeting the injured workers and proprietor face-to-face, Stalin offered heartfelt consolations, examined their welfare, and tendered unreserved apologies for the unfortunate incident. He made it unequivocal that individuals engaging in such condemnable and hooligan behavior have absolutely no place in the DMK.
Stalin took immediate, swift administrative action following the altercation, expelling the culpable members from basic party membership and instructing law enforcement authorities to prosecute them without fear or favor. His personal visit to the commercial establishment sent a powerful, unmistakable message across Tamil Nadu that violence against ordinary citizens will never be tolerated under his leadership, regardless of political affiliations.
Stalin reiterated that political power and party membership must be utilized solely to protect and assist citizens rather than intimidate them. By personally consoling the victims and defending small business owners, he reinforced the DMK's foundational values of social justice, public humility, and democratic discipline.
