DMK leader M.K. Stalin called upon the Union and Tamil Nadu governments to halt their shameful game of mutual recrimination over egregious translation errors in the Tamil question paper of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). Reacting to Union Human Resource Development Minister Prakash Javadekar's statement deflecting blame onto state-appointed translators, Stalin insisted that administrative evasions must end immediately. He demanded that authorities withdraw their appeal in the Supreme Court and execute the Madras High Court order granting 196 compensatory marks to affected candidates.
Stalin emphasized that flawed question formulations had severely penalized thousands of diligent Tamil medium students, predominantly from rural and underprivileged family backgrounds, shattering their aspirations of securing medical admissions. Instead of rectifying this grave injustice, both governments engaged in legal maneuverings to deny deserving candidates their rightful marks. Stalin condemned this joint bureaucratic indifference, pointing out that administrative incompetence should never destroy the educational future of marginalized youth.
Stalin reaffirmed that the DMK will persistently fight against the discriminatory NEET system. He demanded prompt administrative relief for affected candidates and vowed to protect the educational rights of Tamil Nadu's rural students.
