DMK leader M.K. Stalin stated that the massive ongoing Income Tax raids on prominent highway contractors Seyyadurai and Nagarajan provided undeniable, tangible proof of systemic corruption pervading the state Highways Department under Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami. Pointing to the unprecedented recovery of over one hundred and fifty crore rupees in unaccounted currency and dozens of kilograms of gold from these contractors, Stalin characterized the haul as an open indictment of the state administration.

Stalin highlighted that both Seyyadurai and Nagarajan functioned as trusted proxies and close business confidants of the Chief Minister, receiving exclusive multi-crore four-laning and infrastructure tenders under manipulated bidding terms. The astronomical accumulation of illicit wealth by private contractors overseeing public highway projects demonstrated how administrative authority had been repurposed into a mechanism for personal enrichment. Stalin noted that public funds allocated for vital road construction had been diverted into corporate kickbacks.

Stalin reiterated that the DMK will persistently demand direct criminal prosecution against the Chief Minister and his contractor associates. He declared that no administrative official or minister implicated in highway embezzlement can escape institutional accountability and judicial reckoning.
