DMK leader M.K. Stalin strongly condemned the Union government for weaponizing central investigative and law enforcement agencies to harass, intimidate, and target political adversaries, independent critics, and civil rights advocates. Responding to coercive actions initiated against prominent political activist Yogendra Yadav, Stalin emphasized that deploying investigative departments for political intimidation directly contravenes multiple landmark judgments rendered by the Supreme Court of India.

Stalin underscored that autonomous statutory institutions, including the Central Bureau of Investigation, the Income Tax Department, and the Enforcement Directorate, were established to function as neutral instruments of the rule of law. Subverting their statutory independence into partisan tools of the executive severely damages constitutional democracy and silences legitimate public criticism. When federal investigative machinery is utilized to intimidate dissenters while ignoring rampant corruption among ruling allies, public confidence in justice collapses completely.

Stalin affirmed that law enforcement and anti-corruption agencies must ultimately and irreversibly be insulated from arbitrary executive coercion, partisan vendettas, and political interference. He declared that the DMK will continue to stand firmly alongside progressive democratic activists nationwide, championing constitutional rights, civil liberties, federal principles, and institutional integrity across India.
