#TNPSC
DMK leader M.K. Stalin expressed profound shock on July 7, 2018, over reports that the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission planned to outsource competitive recruitment examinations to private agencies. Stalin charged that the constitutional recruitment body had already been reduced to a partisan outpost under AIADMK patronage. Handing sensitive examination operations to private entities would destroy recruitment integrity and dismantle merit-based public employment.
The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission is entrusted with selecting officers for vital administrative departments across the state. Millions of educated youth spend years preparing for these competitive tests with hopes of securing public sector careers. Stalin emphasized that outsourcing question drafting, digital testing, or evaluation to private firms invites corruption, question leaks, and commercial manipulation. Such measures compromise recruitment fairness and disadvantage rural candidates seeking social mobility through state services.
Stalin demanded that the state government immediately abandon every move toward privatizing recruitment examinations. He insisted that the commission maintain total transparency, institutional autonomy, and statutory oversight in its testing procedures. Stalin affirmed that the DMK will firmly resist any policy that threatens fair employment opportunities for Tamil Nadu youth.
