DMK leader and Kolathur legislator M.K. Stalin conducted an extensive inspection tour of his assembly constituency on June 28, 2018, reviewing ongoing municipal infrastructure projects and inaugurating essential civic amenities. To address chronic waterlogging during the Northeast monsoon, Stalin formally launched the construction of new storm water drains across vulnerable neighborhoods. He instructed municipal engineers and contractors to maintain high construction standards and ensure prompt completion before seasonal rains arrived.

During the constituency visit, Stalin engaged directly with local residents, listening to civic grievances regarding drinking water supply, road maintenance, and public sanitation.
