Under previous DMK administrations, the state enacted landmark policies including the creation of a separate 3.5 percent reservation for backward class Muslims, ensuring substantial access to higher education and government employment. Stalin highlighted that protecting minority rights and fostering communal harmony remain indispensable for sustaining a progressive and egalitarian society free from sectarian prejudice.
